Meaningful Connection

At New Life, we believe that meaningful connection to a healthy local church is the difference between floundering and flourishing during college. In a healthy local church, you will be challenged not only to learn what the Bible teaches, but to apply God’s Word to your everyday life. You will have the opportunity to serve and be served, to give and to receive, to pour out and to be filled up.

In Titus 2:2-6, we read, "Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness. Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled. Likewise, urge the younger men to be self-controlled."

Most college students are surrounded by other college students nearly every hour of the day. Outside of Christ-centered worship, we believe the best thing we can offer college students is meaningful relationships with older men and women who can mentor and disciple them while they are in college. If not from the local church, where will they learn to be godly adults - husbands and wives, employers and employees, parents and grandparents?

Therefore, we encourage every college student to get connected to older Christians by visiting a Life Group. All Life Groups are multigenerational and have a blend of adults, college students, and children. Further, we encourage every student to join New Life, taking on the responsibilities and privileges of membership in a local church.
