Why We Give

At New Life, we believe that the grace of God – rather than guilt – should be the foundation for our giving. In 2 Corinthians 8:9, Paul writes,

“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you by His poverty might become rich.”

Jesus, as Creator and Sustainer of the universe, is rich. Yet, in His incarnation (taking on flesh and adding humanity to His deity) and death in the place of sinners like you and me, He became poor. He did this so that by faith we could take hold of the riches that belong to Him.

That message — the Gospel message — must be the foundation for all giving. If the Gospel is not the foundation for our giving, then giving will continue to be a struggle for us. We will hold onto “our” money until we feel guilty enough to give some of it away. Then, when we do finally give out of guilt, we will likely feel either bitter or self-righteous just a short time later.

But when the Gospel is the foundation of our giving, then we are eager to give generously based on Christ’s generous gift of forgiveness, justification, and adoption into God’s family by faith.

Where To Give

The following are several fund areas that you may consider giving to by designating your gift as follows:

General Budget

By giving to the general budget, you help to ensure that New Life can continue to operate and maintain our ongoing obligations financially. From our facilities, our programming, and our amazing staff - every dollar given helps us to make disciples here and abroad.

Vision 2020

As New Life continues to grow we have a growing need for additional space, funds for programming, and additional staff members to help us continue to preserve and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus faithfully. Your gift will help us to continue these efforts now and in the years to come!

Missions

We've been blessed to have many who desire to serve abroad as missionaries! Your gift to missions helps us to continue to train and send those in our church body to go and make disciples and to faithfully send others to the nations.

How To Give

There are several simple and secure ways to give. You may designate your gift with any of the fund areas above. If you do not designate your gift it will go towards the General Budget:

Bill Payment

With most banks offering online bill payment, you may choose to set up a regular reoccurring gift to New Life through your local bank. This is the best way to give as 100% of your gift will go to New Life.

Text Giving

Text any dollar amount to 84321. Follow the quick, self-guided setup process to set up your account. After that, donating is as easy as sending a text!

Church Center App

Visit your iPhone or Android app store and download the Church Center app. Select New Life Baptist Church and type in your phone number. Once the app is downloaded and set up, you can give safely and securely right from the app!

Cash and Check

Each week you will have the opportunity to give as the offering baskets are passed or you may place your gift in the offering box at the entrance of the Gathering Room before or after the service. Additionally, you may wish to mail in your gift to the New Life office. Please make your checks payable to New Life Baptist Church.
